Comrie Development Trust
CDT delivers community benefit through four strategic priorities. Below are the active projects, drawn from our most recent AGM (May 2026).

Eight converted Nissen huts bookable year-round, sleeping 2–16. All commercial tenants now on common leases with standardised terms. Growing accommodation and commercial leasing to strengthen the Trust's financial base.
Museum roof repaired with Pilgrim Trust and PKC funding. Over 1,000 visitors to date. Conservation Management Framework completed. Heritage Group volunteers expanding school visit and visitor programmes.
Annual programme including Carry On Culty, the Strathearn Marathon, craft fair, vintage motorcycle rally, outdoor Shakespeare, open day, the Orchard Apple Day, and a summer café on site.
Feasibility study completed with CARES / Local Energy Scotland funding. CDT working to establish a solar farm at the camp to generate renewable energy income for the community.
Community Woodland Group and Orchard volunteers deliver tree plantings, woodland days, and the annual Apple Day. Collaboration with Comrie Colour and local environmental groups.
New pedestrian and cycle gate linking Comrie village to Cultybraggan Camp. Airestop motorhome pitches established. Digital site map delivered. Community Action Plan underway with Comrie Community Council.
